I did a lot of research before deciding on the CATLINK One Young Smart cat feeder. I am planning on going on holidays and was looking for a feeder that would work for over 6 days. There’s a lot to choose from online, but I finally decided on CATLINK. It sounded great in theory because it links up with your phone and reports on the amounts and times that your cat is feeding which is useful with my older cat. The design looks great and it hold a large amount of food…..
……I knew it would be difficult to set up because I’d seen other people had had some difficulties online…… But really?…
It took quite awhile and numerous attempts . In the end we had to set up a new network ( it doesn’t work with 5ghz only 2.4ghz) and we had to actually turn off the 5ghz and change passwords (you can’t have any symbols) and still nothing. It has taken us about 2 weeks of continual trying, then finally we had success and got it paired with my iPhone! Once that happened the rest was fairly straight forward. Not sure how well you’d go if you weren’t tech savvy. It’s been going now for a few days and I’m happy and so is the cat. So that’s good…
I think it will be a good product, it’s just a shame that pairing was so difficult.
