I bought this to replace the Catlink feeder as the Royal Canin Cat Veterinary Dental biscuits were too big for it always got stuck, the app never worked properly and I never knew if my cat was being fed.
I have no issues using this food with this feeder which also has a self check food size chart to measure your biscuits which states it goes up to 18mm size.
I like that this one rotates back and forth to ensure nothing gets stuck and it is 1 big solid piece with 2 gaps for the food to fall through and store until next feed, it’s not a spinning rotator with silicone tabs. Food stays fresh with the seals and no gap at the front where food is dispensed. There is a silicone rotator inside the stainless steel tub that helps move all the food down.
When dispensing food the bowl rotates at the same time to ensure the bowl doesn’t overfill, it’s easy to remove and clean, stainless steel bowl comes out, which the bowl has a matte sort of finish which I like as I have heard the reflection of the steel can be irritating to cats. The stainless steel canister inside comes out easy and also easy to clean.
The app works great lots of preferences, notifies me of any issues. Can set desired amount of feeds and the grams (I like it’s not portions!), also very simple to use.
The machine itself is quite loud when dispensing the food but that doesn’t bother me, you can also turn down or turn off the voice control. The little light at the front is not too bright and changes colour for warnings.
I am so happy I bought this and for a cheaper price with more to offer than the Catlink feeder.
