This is a pretty scratcher. At first my kitten used the hidey-hole as a mini tunnel toy but now he uses it to claw. It does tip over easily if he tries to scratch it on a angle (he only weighs 2.7kg right now), however, the underside is also made of scratching material so if it does tip overnight he uses the bottom side until I tip it back in the morning, other than that I'm very happy with this purchase. He does love playing in it and it is really pretty.
